In the early 1990s, following the dissolution of Yugoslavia, a civil war broke out in Bosnia and Herzegovina driven by deep ethnic differences. This conflict led to many deaths, severe humanitarian crises, human rights violations, and mass displacement of civilians. This committee requires delegates to represent their countries’ political positions as they were in 1994 before the Srebrenitsa massacre and work collaboratively toward drafting a General Assembly Resolution that enhances international cooperation and the protection of civilians.
